After ordering web hosting, we recommend going through the following steps in this order. Each point links to a detailed guide.
- Log in to the admin panel at hosting.spacehost.cz (or hosting2.spacehost.cz or hosting3.spacehost.cz, depending on which server your hosting runs on). If a certificate warning appears, you will find an explanation under the term SSL certificate.
- Check your domain and DNS. The domain must point to our server, otherwise your website will not be displayed. The procedure is in the article Pointing a domain (DNS records). If you are moving a website, you can first preview it before the DNS change.
- Create mailboxes: Creating a new email account. You will find the phone setup in the article Email on your phone.
- Create an FTP account and upload your website: How to create an FTP account.
- A database is needed by most applications (WordPress, online stores): How to access the database.
- Choose a PHP version that your application supports: Choosing a PHP version.
- Turn on HTTPS and redirect your website to the secure address: SSL and HTTPS.
