You set up a mailbox on your phone the same way as on a computer. You only need the server addresses, ports, and login details. You can find the addresses and ports for all our servers in the article Addresses for downloading and sending mail.
What you will need
| Account type | IMAP (recommended), see Why use IMAP instead of POP3 |
| Incoming mail server | hosting.spacehost.cz, hosting2.spacehost.cz, or hosting3.spacehost.cz (depending on the server your hosting runs on), port 993, SSL/TLS encryption |
| Outgoing mail server (SMTP) | the same server, port 465 (SSL/TLS) or 587 (STARTTLS), login required |
| Username | the full email address, for example jan.novak@mujweb.cz |
| Password | the mailbox password |
iPhone (iOS)
- Open Settings and go to Mail (in newer iOS versions Apps > Mail) and choose Accounts.
- Tap Add Account > Other > Add Mail Account and enter your name, address, and password.
- Choose IMAP and fill in the incoming and outgoing mail servers according to the table above. Enter the username for both servers.
Android
- In the Gmail app (or the built-in Email app from your manufacturer), choose Add another address and the type Other.
- Enter the address and password, select personal (IMAP), and fill in the servers manually according to the table.
The exact names of the items differ slightly between system versions and phone manufacturers, but the principle is the same.
If it does not work
- Make sure you are using the full address as the username, not just the part before the @ sign.
- Sending requires authentication. Make sure it is turned on for SMTP and that the same username and password are entered.
- Read Problems sending or receiving emails.
