IMAP and POP3

‹ Glossary

IMAP and POP3 are protocols for receiving email. IMAP leaves messages on the server and synchronizes them across all devices, while POP3 downloads them to a single device. For multiple devices (computer, phone), IMAP is the better choice.

See Why use IMAP instead of POP3.
